    Rotary Clothesline Installation Service

Everything about this purchase was great. Customer service, online ordering, organisation of the installation. Even when a part was missing (no ones fault as the box had ripped) the shipping of the replacement part was quick. All in all a good experience.

Hills Heritage 7 Line Rotary Clothesline

I couldn't be happier than what I am with my new clothesline. From ordering to installation. Dallas was amazing, he is an absolute gentleman and went out of his way to ensure the clothesline was the correct size for the area. There was wire in the packaging with the clothesline when it arrived, it would have taken another 2 weeks for new line to arrive. Dallas found enough line in his Ute to finish the job off.
Thank you, Dallas, you're a champion.

Hills Heritage 7 Line Rotary Clothesline

The vast amount of products offered and the ease of online ordering made it simple to choose and order.
Delivery was ontime and arranging a day for the removal and installation of my old clothesline was professionally handled by your staff.
The installer was at my home at 7am and did a great job removing the old and erecting the new line.
    Thanks for your terrific service.

Air Dry 3000 Clothesline - Made To Order

I’m absolutely delighted with my Hills Single Fold Down Clothesline and with the service from The Clothesline Store. The whole process was efficient and straightforward, and the clothesline itself is exactly what I wanted — strong, sturdy, spacious and perfect for sheets, quilts and everyday washing.

I also want to give a special mention to Dallas, who installed it for me on the Gold Coast. He arrived in pouring rain and still dismantled my old clothesline and installed the new one efficiently and professionally.

What impressed me just as much was how kind he was to my 92-year-old mother. He took the time to talk with her, and they discovered they shared German heritage, which led to a lovely conversation. My mum had a stroke some time ago and can sometimes find conversation a little more difficult now, so I really appreciated the patience and warmth Dallas showed her.

Excellent product, excellent installation and genuinely lovely service. I’m very happy with my purchase and would happily recommend The Clothesline Store.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my clothesline take to arrive?

At The Clothesline Store, we ship faster and more reliably than anyone else in Australia. Why? Because we hold a huge range of
products in stock at our own national distribution warehouse—no middlemen, no
delays. In-stock items are dispatched either the same or next business day.

Major Cities on the East Coast of Australia: 1-10 business days after shipment*

Outer-lying cities and suburbs including South Australia: 3-10 business days after shipment*

*Couriers say to allow up to 10 working days
for all shipments. Deliveries are often considerably faster than the longest time shown, however no guarantee can be made. Seasonal demand, public holidays. As we use couriers, we can never guarantee a specific delivery time frame. We will however despatch your order in a rapid manner for you.

Can the clotheslines be used outdoors?

Yes, you can use a portable clothesline outdoors! Many are specifically designed for indoor and outdoor drying, crafted with durable materials like galvanised steel, aluminium, and UV-resistant plastics to withstand harsh weather conditions. However long exposure to the harsh elements will take the toll on the products.

However, if it’s particularly windy, we recommend either bringing the clothesline indoors or securing it firmly with weights or sandbags to prevent it from tipping over.

Keep in mind that some smaller models, like the Brabantia hanging rack, is intended for indoor use only. Be sure to check the product details and user manual for guidance to ensure you’re using it correctly.

Do the Portable clotheslines require assembly?

The majority of the portable clotheslines require assembly, we have videos on how to do this for the Hills products in our How To section by clicking here.

The products specifications will show if the product requires assembly or not. If you are still not sure, feel free to contact our support staff.

Services like Hire a Hubby or a local handyman may be able to assist also.

Can the units be folded flat for storage?

Yes, all the clothes drying racks we stock can be folded flat for easy storage, except for the SkyDry. The SkyDry’s arms can be folded down only to save space.

The Hills Portable includes a hook that can be used over a door or fixed to a wall for convenient storage.

The Artweger Twist 140 also features a wall storage system, allowing for easy and compact storage.

The Brabantia Over the Door is compact and designed for easy storage, making it perfect for smaller spaces.

The Daytek can also be folded and placed behind a door or against a wall.

Can I hang sheets on the clothesline?

Yes! The Hills 170 & 120 Portable, Daytek A-Frame, and Skydry are all designed to accommodate sheets. In some cases, you may need to fold the sheet to fit.

While many clotheslines can hold sheets, not all are specifically designed for it - so they may not offer the same capacity or support for larger items.

Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes of course! Our friendly team are more than happy to help with any questions and provide support to help you choose your brand new clothesline. Feel free to phone us at any time on 1300 509 564. We also have live chat available if you'd like to speak to us that way.

    Can I pickup my clothesline?

Pickups are not available for Portable Clotheslines.

    How much is delivery?

Delivery is FREE on all products. However please refer to our shipping page for more details on the areas we service.

Do you offer an installation and assembly service?

At The Clothesline Store we do not offer an installation or assembly service for the portable Clotheslines. we recommend contacting a local handy man in your area.
