How to Install a Folding Rotary Clothesline
This page explains everything required to install a rotary folding clothesline. The installation process shown applies to most branded rotary folding clotheslines and follows the same general steps.
Key points to note
- Read the instruction manual carefully and confirm that all required parts are included before installation.
- Install the clothesline so the lowest line sits approximately 50–100 mm above the head height of the person who will use it most. Allow for the slight upward slope of the clothesline arms and use spacer settings if required.
- Install the ground socket exactly as outlined in the instruction manual.
- Gently lower the top section into the lower section until it is fully connected.
- Clothesline cords are designed to sag slightly. Do not over-tension the lines so they resemble guitar or piano strings, as this may damage the clothesline.
- Ongoing maintenance may be required over time, including occasional re-tensioning of the clothesline cord.
