Im very happy with the clothesline. It looks sleek, is very easy to operate and is made right here in Adelaide. Fast delivery too. A big shout out to the team at Austral, epspecially Lorena, who responded quickly when my original order was damaged in transit. I promptly recieved a replacement.

New model super easy to install. No need to fiddle with cords as it has an inbuilt tension mechanism. Solid build quality.
We love it! We live in the Blue Mountains where it gets freezing in winter. However, on sunny days we hang the laundry out on the line and by the end of the day they’re almost dry which is amazing. We bought the post too and it looks neat and tidy. Doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb, just blends in with the environment. The unit itself works great and is easy to use. The lines are thick and strong. Can’t wait to try it out in the the warmer months when our washing can dry completely out in the sun and won’t have to use the dryer at all! Made our lives so much easier!

I love this item. Maximises my yard by folding neatly away. Easy to pull out so I can use Solar to dry my clothes

Great Clothesline. Well designed and good quality. I can't fault the product. I am only giving 4 stars because I have to provide my own M8 nuts bolts to install. Strangely, I received washers, but not the nuts and bolts. This was not an error. The instructions state "bolts -customer provided". I think for the cost of the product, the bolts should be provided.
Incredibly helpful and friendly team ensuring the correct replacement clothesline was chosen, and our order arrived very quickly. Installation was easy, although we needed to purchase extra screws/nuts/washers from our local hardware store that were not included (the instructions were clear about this, however it was a little inconvenient). Cannot fault the service and am very happy with the product.

It is good I did think that the post was adjustable, unfortunately its not, a couple of inches higher would have been better as my husband and family are very tall, well over 6 feet tall.

The clothesline seems great, easy to operate and the tension is terrific. A much needed upgrade. It was very convenient that an installation option was also available. That said, the installation cost was expensive for what it was. Though as I've said- convenient.

Brilliant product. Removing the clothes line from the back yard makes the yard seem so much bigger.
This is my second retractable 40 clothesline, the first lasted around 12 years before the retractor stopped working "it wouldn't lock" Hope this new one will last longer, it has a different system compared to the first one. Would have given it 5 stars but for the other breaking down and the price of the new one is rather steep!

My unit is 30years old and we bought it 9 years ago.The unit had a Austral Retracting 40 and was still working perfectly.I replaced the Retractaway with a new 40 model because we did an upgrade on outdoor area. The 40 model fitted in the same spot on the wall without having to drill new holes. Because the old 40 model was still in good order I gave it to a friend who installed it in his holiday home. Perfect!
